Samantha heads the Bedford office team. She specialises in cases involving children as well as high-net worth ancillary relief matters. She is regularly instructed to act on behalf of children through the Court/CAFCASS in relation to both care and private law proceedings. Samantha also acts for extended family members, prospective adopters and foster carers in relation to adoption and special guardianship applications. She deals with complex financial cases involving substantial assets. Sam is a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel and the Association of Lawyers for Children.
Borneos are 1 of only 5 firms nationally to be appointed to the Litigation Catalogue Panel on behalf of TSol, the Treasury Solicitor's Department to provide litigation services to a public authority. Sam undertakes the public authority's work in this area on the firm's behalf.
Sam joined Borneos in 2001 from Bedfordshire County Council where she was a senior solicitor dealing exclusively with child protection cases. She was made a Partner (now Member) on the 1st April 2004. Prior to that Sam practised both criminal and child care law in London where she was a partner in a North London practice.
Sam qualified in 1995 and is a member of the Law Society's Children Panel and The Association of Lawyers for Children.
